Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapy helps patients regain as much independence as possible with self-care and activities of daily living, upper extremity function, and perceptual/cognitive abilities. Our occupational therapy services provide activities of daily living retraining utilizing compensatory techniques and adaptive devices as needed. Upper extremity therapeutic exercise and activities are also used to encourage range of motion, strengthening, and coordination for patients who have experienced a CVA (stroke), orthopedic injury, surgery, etc. Hand therapy and splinting are also provided for upper extremities. Occupational therapy can also utilize ultrasound or paraffin hot and cold packs to assist the therapeutic process.
